I found out I was pregnant at 17. I was raised in a strict Catholic household. My only solution was to walk into traffic to kill myself. A lovely man saved me from walking into traffic. Luckily I found a friendly family friend that I reached out to — who talked to my parents. It was too late for an abortion, so I had the baby and gave her up for adoption. People tell me those who have abortions have emotional, guilty issues… but for me I have emotional, guilty issues of my own.

I grew up to be a nurse (BSN) and learned about zygotes, fetuses, etc…

A pile of wood, brick, plumbing and wire is potential to build a house; a zygote is potential for a baby.

It irks me where I live (southern state) to see “Abortion is murder” bumper stickers. So if possible I will put a note on their car “if abortion is murder, then a miscarriage is involuntary manslaughter: unintentional killing of another human.”
