When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock. I called my boyfriend very confused to tell him the news. His response? We are NOT having a baby. Within moments a call was made to the abortion clinic in Texas and I was scheduled in 3 days to come in. Well, for 3 days my boyfriend thought it was funny to hit my stomach and laugh and make comments about how we were getting rid of the baby. I cried every day… Completely scared, feeling alone, depressed and anxious the appointment arrived. On my way into the building I had protesters screaming at me that I was a murderer and other horrible things. As I walked with my head down trying to not hear what they were saying, my boyfriend went over and talked to them. I was left alone and continued into the building. After the 100 fee was paid, I was called into a room where an ultrasound was done. I was handed a folder and told not to open it because inside was a photo of my baby. I was then directed into another room where 2 other girls sat. We all sat together holding our folders with our babies inside. One by one we were called back, drugged up and the procedure performed.

After it was over, we were sent out the back door.

I live with this memory everyday. Its been 10 years now, but the pain never goes away.
